Urbandale Staircase Transformed

In this Urbandale home remodeling project, the traditional oak staircase was removed and replaced with this sleek iron staircase custom handcrafted by Artistic Iron Works here in Des Moines. The wood treads originally belonged to a bridge near Ida Grove. The new look is transformational and achieves the homeowners’ vision for a contemporary statement that incorporates a piece of Iowa history.
